The World Agriculture Organization (WAO), registered under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, and certified as an ISO 9001:2015 Autonomous Organization, embodies the core principles of our corporate identity. It serves as a daily reminder of the fundamental purpose of life, rooted in Gandhian philosophy of trusteeship, which emphasizes utilizing wealth, talent, and privileges to assist the less fortunate. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for farmers, encapsulated in our tagline: “Agriculture with Innovative Technology.” Established in 2022, WAO is a non-governmental, not-for-profit, autonomous research and educational organization accredited by the International Accreditation Forum of the USA (IAF) and International Accreditation Services. Our primary goal is to revitalize rural India by facilitating access to sustainable farming and rural community livelihood development. WAO serves as a vital link among agriculture and allied sector professionals in India, bridging rural communities with various stakeholders, including government entities, development organizations, and corporate partners. We achieve this through large-scale field implementation projects that integrate technological innovations to enhance efficiency and scale. Comprising thousands of dedicated individuals both in India and globally, WAO represents a diverse segment of the agricultural community, including scientists, agricultural universities, educators, students, landscape and turf managers, government extension agents, and industry professionals. Our members focus on a wide range of practices and challenges within agriculture, including breeding, propagation, production and management, harvesting, handling and storage, processing, marketing, and the utilization of agricultural and horticultural products.
